Through the Riserva del Giovetto one takes leave of the Scalve Valley, returning to the starting point by the Via dei Pellegrini and the Forra del Dezzo.

Path

Passing through the sports pitch, you take leave of the village of Azzone and gradually leave the Valle di Scalve. n fact, the stage leads back to Valle Camonica, where start and finish of “Via Decia” journey meet at the chapel of Corna. In the meantime, one crosses the Giovetto Regional Reserve, a natural heritage site protecting the Rufa Ant, the precious guardian of the woods. After the Giovetto Pass, you reach Croce di Salven and the gateway to the park from the Camuno side, with a picnic area and large-scale reproduction of the aforementioned ant. For a short stretch, take the provincial road from Borno in the direction of Paline. From here, take the diversions to Prave Beyond the ancient church of San Bartolomeo, the descent towards Mazzunno begins along the ancient Via dei Pellegrini, one of the ancient routes that accompanied pilgrims from northern Europe to Rome. Having passed Mazzunno and Terzano, all that remains is to walk for a stretch along the Dezzo Gorge in the shadow of the Federici Castle. It is only a short distance to the end. Here we accompany you in silence, leaving you to the memories and emotions that always mark the end of a journey.
